Layers

Layers are like superposed transparent sheets. There are 8 layers available in gPage2.

Each object is drawn on one or more layers. Layers being drawn one after another, objects on top layers will appear on top of those on lower layers.

A layer can be protected. Objects on a protected layer can't be modified or deleted, and you can not add new objects on a layer while it is protected.

New objects will always be placed on the active layer.

A layer could be made visible or not. All objects on an invisible layer will not be drawn.

Names of layers default to numbers, but can be changed to more appropriate ones.

All layers settings can be changed in a dialog box accessed by the Page + Layers... menu.

To change the layer of an object, right-click on it and choose Layer in the context menu.
