Quick Start
To start a new drawing, choose the menu command File + New Document or click the New Document icon on the toolbar, and choose one of those commands:
- Default Page
The size and units will be those previously saved with the menu command Preferences + Default page... This is usually the most used page format.
- Printer Sheet...
The size of the page will be copied from your printer. Useful for a document to be printed.
- Drawing to export...
This command lets you set the size of the page in pixel units. Choose this command if you want to export your drawing in JPG, GIF or PNG format, useful for the Web or email, or for insertion in another document (word processor document for example).
- From a Template...
The page size, units and content will be copied from a template previously saved with the menu command File + Save as Template... Saving a document as a template does not change it's name, it merely save a copy to be used as a template. Templates may contain objects.
Next, you add objects on the page. All objetcs are on the toolbar and in the Objects + New Object menu. You first add an object on the page, and then you modify it.
Clicking the right mouse button while the cursor is over an object will pop-up a context menu from which you can choose the desired modification.
